Winter Drive Part 5: Ohiopyle State Park

Today we continue along on our winter journey to Ohiopyle State Park, from our visits to Seven Springs, Trenthouse Inn and Laurel Hill State Park, Somerset's Wind Country and Mount Davis (parts one and two)

This view is from Ohiopyle State Park's Baughman Rock Overlook at an elevation of 2000 feet. 

The view from this vantage point is particularly beautiful.

Here you can see the Youghiogheny River winding through the ridge, and the railroad next to it. 

Leading up to the overlook it was quite slick, explaining the end of this video.

You feel like you are in a whole different world up here.

Now we descend down into the valley to Ohiopyle Falls on the Youghiogheny River. There are multiple viewing platforms, and a brand new visitor center at the falls.

The ice formations were so cool.

Now on to the Natural Waterslides. What do we need Blizzard Beach winter theming for at Disney when we have a legitimately icy waterslide right here?
